I Love A Course in Miracles! I find the teachings bring me great comfort and upliftment.
With having done nearly more than 600 episodes of my podcast over the past 13 years or so, I’m still amazed at how inspired I am by A Course in Miracles. I never tire of the truth. It’s liberating. I love that every time I pick up A Course in Miracles I find a treasure that’s so familiar and another one that’s less well known to me. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
What a great gift that blue book is. Filled with treasures.
The simplest statements carry so much power and Peace. That’s the power of truth. When we read ACIM, we’re looking for truth. We’re willing, so we can find it.
If you’re ever struggling to understand some part of it – or even to open it, then just ask Spirit to show you the way. That’s what Spirit is for.
One thing that Jesus tells is that’s so comforting is that we’re never alone. He’s always with us. Always. We can pretend we’re alone, but we never will be. Why pretend when it doesn’t make us happy?
He also tells us that we don’t even know what will make us happy so we can just stop thinking that we do.
Such practical advice!
And he offers us constant support if we will but lean upon him. Test it. Try it out. What have you got to lose?
Next time you feel alone, or bereft, or perhaps you wake up with a sense of dread, call out to Jesus and ask him to let you know that he’s with you and that you’re not alone.
The gift is when we can share the Light with others, when we can be of service to the Light, then our Light really shines! It lights us up from the inside!
“Do you not think the world needs peace as much as you do? Do you not want to give it to the world as much as you want to receive it? For unless you do, you will not receive it. If you want to have it of me, you must give it. Healing does not come from anyone else. You must accept guidance from within. The guidance must be what you want, or it will be meaningless to you. That is why healing is a collaborative venture. I can tell you what to do, but you must collaborate by believing that I know what you should do. Only then will your mind choose to follow me. Without this choice you could not be healed because you would have decided against healing, and this rejection of my decision for you makes healing impossible.” A Course in Miracles T-8.IV.4.
The ego often doesn’t like to be a follower, are you willing to follow the guidance of an ascended master who can see through all directions of time and space, whose consciousness is so clear that his life has inspired billions of people?
ACIM is both practical and lofty. That those two qualities can perfectly co-exist and in iambic pentameter. Sweet!
A Course in Miracles offers us the way to Peace in our own lives and Peace in the world. At a time when it seems like there’s a tremendous amount of insanity erupting in the world, let us focus on being the Peace we’d like to see in the world by changing our mind about the world. In this way we can be truly helpful.
