Do you avoid people who seem stuck in their story?
One thing that I see happens to a lot of spiritual students, myself included, is we develop aversions to people who are doing the same things we fear doing – such as complaining, whining, using negative affirmations, and appearing to be stuck in their story.
We’re so afraid of sliding back down that we’ve forgotten the way up.
The way UP is through compassion, cultivating our loving heart and extending Love.
That’s the ONLY way.
When someone appears to be stuck in their story, whining and complaining, it’s the perfect opportunity for US to have a healing and share the benefits with everyone.
My recent workshops on worthiness have made it abundantly clear that almost everyone feels at least somewhat unlovable and unworthy in some ways. And many, if not most, feel inherently unworthy. It’s epidemic.
When someone is stuck in their story and speaking like a victim, even if they appear to be a bully or super confident, they may trigger our own deep sense of unworthiness. Hence the aversion.
Yet, their cry for Love is our opportunity to extend Love and to be truly helpful, truly healing.
The temptation is to get away or shut them down or make them wrong for seeming to be stuck in their story. That’s just affirming that worthiness, Love, compassion and kindness have to be earned. It perpetuates the false belief that we’re not worthy of Love.
If we’ve shut someone down in the past, we can pray for them and bless them now. It’s never too late.
Remember what A Course in Miracles tells us at the end of Chapter V in the text:
“The Holy Spirit will undo all the consequences of my wrong decision, if I let him.”
It’s never too late for the Holy Spirit to undo all the consequences of my wrong decision.
This is our healing opportunity.
Let’s take it right now.
Who can you think of that you made feel guilty, wrong or bad because of your reaction?
Bless them right now.
Choose healing for yourself and them right now.
For the longest time I thought others were to blame for my unhappiness. When I wasn’t blaming others, I was thinking that it was because there was something wrong with me.
I felt unlovable because I’d been mean and unkind so many times.
I punished others anytime I felt threatened.
And that just affirmed how wrong I was.
Through diligent effort and great willingness I’ve discovered that the only problem I had was that I was willing to put my opinions in between me and Spirit, and between me and my fellow beings. The more I clear the way, the more I am clear that there really is no problem at all – only a belief in a problem.
Next time you feel upset and you know it’s because of some opinion you have (about yourself or someone else) that you feel you just have to hold onto, consider this: Our opinions ALWAYS blog the flow of good in our life.
We can trick ourselves into believing that we can hold a block to Love in our mind and it’s not REALLY going to make much difference, but I’ve had it proven to me time and again that this belief is completely false. Every opinion and every judgment is a block to Love.
Since Love is the only healer for any issue in our life, let’s get out of the way of the healing.
It’s within our power when we Partner UP with the Higher Holy Spirit Self!
I’m so much happier, and have so much more Freedom not because circumstances have changed in my life, but because I’m not blocking the flow of the All Good in my mind.
I’m more in the flow, not because of circumstances changing around me, but because I’m more receptive to the All Good because I am aware that I am worthy and all are worthy. I am willing and grateful to receive from many – I am open to others helping me, teaching me, sharing with me and going with me.
Next time someone really bothers you, ask yourself “am I actually willing to block the flow of healing, Wholeness, Prosperity, Love, Beauty, Prosperity, Harmony and JOY in my life in order to hold onto this upset?
And if you are, sit yourself down and give yourself a hug until you change your mind!
Let’s all invite the Higher Holy Spirit Self into our mind so we can carry a different tune, and a higher vibration.
If we’re willing, Spirit will work through us.
Because there’s only one mind, and one life
– all boats rise with our loving heart!
Spirit moves through the open door of our heart. Spirit pauses and patiently waits at the closed door. We choose how we’ll experience this day. If you’re heart has been closed all day and you find yourself brushing your teeth before bed – it’s the perfect time to open to Spirit and go higher before you retire.
In a world where time and space are an illusion,
it’s never too late to change our minds.
Only the ego needs to cling to the decisions of the past.
My ability to change my mind and change my tune is a strength. The more I relinquish the false beliefs and am willing to see myself and others in perfect Wholeness the more Beauty, Love, Prosperity, Joy and Freedom I feel.
Having proven it to myself, I’m inspired to go all the way to awakening, ascension and enlightenment. Let’s go together!
