Here in Maine, I’m starting to see the crocus and daffodils coming up. We’ve had recent snow, and may have more in the days to come, and yet, the signs are showing spring. The peeping frogs have started peeping again. Spring is transformation and it’s exciting to see nature bursting forth. The resurrection after winter’s destruction.
I LOVE transformation. I’ve never watched one of those Transformer movies, but I feel like a spiritual transformer. Transformation and alchemy are two of my favorite things.
In this world, everything changes. Change is constant. Transformation is always happening and we can resist it or we can grow and bloom where we are.
Transformation is a powerful form of growth.
Transformation takes what is and lifts it to a new a level of expression.
In the garden there are places that have had pine trees over them for a very long time and the soil is very acidic. It doesn’t support growth. Yet, I’m holding that with some TLC and perhaps some compost and lime, the soil can be transformed and it’ll support flowers this summer.
Sometimes in a relationship with a significant other, a loved one, a co-worker, or a neighbor, it feels as though there’s a battle of wills. One person is trying to win more love, more respect, more attention and the other one is not always willing to give it. Sometimes we want to receive more love, but we’re not willing to give more love. Sometimes we’re not willing to BE the love that we want to experience. In that moment we are ripe for transformation!
Rather than be in a struggle for power of some kind, we can invite Divine support in experiencing transformation. When I’ve been in a struggle and I examine my thoughts, I’ve seen that my thoughts are violent and hostile. This is when I most deeply desired to transform my thinking and my attitudes.
Gandhi said, “A nonviolent revolution is not a program for seizure of power. It is a program of transformation of relationships …”
How do I transform my anger and hostility? How do I transform my relationships? I invite love, the great healer, into my heart, into my mind and I make a holy offering of the habit of trying to work my will. Working in the garden is a great place to be contemplative and allow that healing transformation from upset to right-mindedness.
I’ve learned the benefit that comes when I take a step back from any violent feelings, and know in my heart that peace is what I desire to experience.
Peace is what I intend to reveal.
Respect is what I am willing to give, and true Love is my heart’s desire.
I’m planting seeds of Joy in my garden!
We look out at the world and we see turmoil all around us. Let’s be agents of change and transformation to bring forth a world that works for everyone. We don’t need to know how to do it. We only have to be willing. There is that within us that knows the way to Peace. Whatever we’re looking at and saying “it’s not good” we can change our mind about. We can be willing to allow it to transform.
Transformation often requires us to be willing to let go of our judgments and complaints and hold a vision of wholeness in our mind. In cultivating that capacity we’re strengthened and our whole life benefits. That’s God’s Infinite Grace showing up in our life.

Join me NEXT Saturday, APRIL 12 for a WORKSHOP Activating Faith & Trust for A Happier Life Part 2. By popular request, my April Deep Dive Workshop topic is Activating Faith & Trust for A Happier Life Part 2. Many spiritual students find it very difficult to have faith and place their trust in Spirit, in intuition, and inspiration. Without trust and faith, it’s not possible to awaken and enjoy the daily benefits that being connected with Spirit brings. Trust and faith are possible and there are practical methods to access them. Join me on Saturday, April 12 for a deep dive into the HOW of activating faith and trust. Click now to register.
