One of the many, many things I LOVE about this spiritual path is the continuous stream of rising UP. Expansion used to feel so elusive – for so many years – and now, every day I feel the rewards of being willing to change my mind and go the other way.

It’s noticeable.  I feel more and more my true self every day.  Which is remarkable, considering how I used to feel absolutely stuck.  I’d say I even felt that I was being held back by an invisible force I couldn’t understand and I just chocked it up to feeling like there was something in me that was just wrong, not right.

Simple sweet aha’s and realizations – new awareness, new feelings – these are a constant development now.

I used to do many things in order to compensate for not feeling good enough, and now I feel that I give and share from the overflow.  Writing this now,  It’s I’m reminded of the line Shakespeare wrote for Juliet in the balcony scene when she tells her Romeo that her “love is deep and boundless as the sea – the more I give to thee, the more I have.”

That’s what Jesus is saying in ACIM when he says “to have, give all to all.”

When we completely stop giving in order to get anything in return, then it’s like the flood gates open.

Think of it:  our Creator doesn’t give to get.  It’s not our nature to give in order to receive.

What IS our nature is to recognize that we have already been given to, and it’s only natural that we would share with all from the overflow of goodness that Spirit bestows upon us in each and every moment.

In THE PATHWAY OF ROSES, the great mystic, Christian D. Larson wrote, “Every individual is entitled to all the riches of the spiritual kingdom, and in addition, to the possession of as many things … as he can possibly appreciate and use in the enrichment of all the realms of his own entire existence. But before he can secure all these things, he must cause his personal nature and his spiritual nature to live together as one … the first essential is to make the best use possible of everything that we may possess now.

How do we cause our personal nature and our spiritual nature to live together as one?  For me, it’s ALL about staying focused on making loving choices.  When I’m focused on making loving choices I’m aligned with Spirit and I’m not judging, not creating difficulties for myself and others.

Today I choose to be willing to use what I have.  What Spirit has given me.

So many people want more, but they don’t appreciate and make use of what they already have.

Would we even want more if we truly recognized what we have?

Let’s all be willing to look at ourselves from a Divine perspective.

Let’s look at things from a higher, spiritual perspective:

Would you be willing to give to someone more riches and rewards if they didn’t appreciate and make use of the ones they had?  Wouldn’t that be a waste?

For myself, working as a spiritual counselor helped me to open the flood gates of ALL GOOD.  I learned to sit with a person that I might have previously judged or felt inadequate to be with, and to simply Love them.  And by that I mean to give them all the Love that God had given me to share with them.

Feeling that infinite flow of Love from my heart to that person, and in turn, to the world, I came back into my right mind more and more.

Knowing the Peace that comes with right-minded living and the Joy that’s natural when we’re receptive to the good and willing to share it with all, I simply can’t go back.

Yes, I have irritations and annoyances that come up every day, but none of them can come even close to bringing on a meltdown.  I value the truth and the insanity the ego dreams up is so unappealing for it’s lack of value.

I never even dreamed I could be as free as I feel now.  I am unburdened of having to think about things and figure them out.  Spirit will direct me, so why waste my energy figuring things out?

And I know that I’m just beginning to live as my true Self.

It’s a great discovery.  And willingness to be loving is the instigator of it all.

In my classes, and in counseling, I’ve experienced people that have surely taught me that I can be more patient, more loving, more kind, more willing – and that is the gift they give to me.

I accept it now, immediately, because as soon as I do, I can share it.  We rise together.

And we’re back to Shakespeare, “my love is deep and boundless as the sea – the more I give to thee, the more I have.”

Let’s begin each day with, “oh, mighty Spirit within me, what blessings do you have for me to share and distribute to your beloved?”
