As you may know, I deeply appreciate the teaching in A Course in Miracles that lets us know that God would never punish. Instead of punishment, the Infinite Intelligence known as God, the Quantum Field of Love that Spirit is, offers correction rather than punishment.

If we’re paying attention we can easily notice when that correction’s being offered to us. With it comes the opportunity to leave the past behind and to experience God’s infinite grace. A blessing that I don’t think we truly appreciate enough.

Grace runs all through our lives. It’s omnipresent.

Grace is what allows us to learn and therefore benefit from our unloving choices.

I happened to stumble upon a TikTok video that was about an arrangement made with an animal kill shelter. A “shelter” for animals where they could be adopted or put to death. I don’t know a lot about these things, but there are many shelters in this country that regularly put to death dogs and cats that aren’t wanted.

The arrangement was that a nearby men’s prison would take the cats and dogs into the shelter and care for them on the way to adoption instead of death. The inmates care for the animals, many of whom have been traumatized and aren’t really suitable for adoption. With the Love that develops between the people and the animals, everyone has a healing.

This is the thing about cats and dogs – it’s not that they Love us, which they surely do and it’s so wonderful, it’s that they let us Love them. That opens our hearts so much and it brings a healing.

I’d like to share this video with you about the prison and the cuddly critters they’re fostering. The man in the video who is visiting the prison to get the story is Jackson Galaxy who has a YouTube channel I watched a lot of when I first got my precious Sattva. I learned a lot about cat care from him. This video will warm your heart for sure!
