Choose Love Now

Here’s the #1 Tip for having a life of Love: Choose Love.

Now, you may say “Duh! I already know that!” and you might roll your eyes and feel irritated, annoyed, superior or you may feel nothing at all. It’s valuable to notice what you feel. I’d like to share with you what I’m learning, what I’m experiencing and what I’m feeling – in the hope that it may be valuable to you in some way.

In Masterful Living class some people are beginning to realize that they don’t seem able to feel Love. Some people are wondering what Love really feels like. People are noticing that they’re living a very mental life or a life that feels very shut down, removed and judgmental.

I have struggled for many years with all of these things. Truly, I have and it’s been very difficult and painful for me. I understand. Here’s what has deeply helped me and I offer it to you with the intention that it will assist you and we can continue the dialogue about this. We’re in this together! We can help each other. And we’re in it to win it! What does winning mean? For me, winning feels like freedom. Winning feels like liberating the heart so that we can truly be the loving, harmonious and liberated beings that we desire to be! When Love wins, no one loses – only the ego.

For years I really struggled with developing a commitment. I was more willing to talk about God and read about God than I was to CONNECT with God. Over and over again I thought that “if I had more time I would make time for God.” As though God was some big project that required lots of time. I made this mistake at least a thousand times.

It’s just not true. That is a lie of the ego. Choosing Love right now in this moment IS making time for God.

The truth is that in all of those moments that I told myself “if I had more time I would make time for God.” I was choosing to deny God, to live without God in my HEART. I did that for years and years! I did so many different versions of choosing ego – Edging God Out – I became convinced that choosing God, choosing Love was some big intellectual project. AND it isn’t.

New people are joining the Masterful Living 2012 class all the time and we’re all coming to it with different history, knowledge and experience – yet we all have this one thing in common: We yearn to feel Love. We yearn to feel free and to remember our true identity as spiritual beings.

Our healing is a moment by moment choice. We must employ our use of FREE WILL to align with LOVE, with DIVINE WILL.

We can do this with simple practices of taking a deep breath and FEELING in our heart the choice for Love. Some times, this feels very foreign. The ego mind wonders if we’re doing it correctly. Breathe again. Breathe deeply. Place your hand on your heart and see what that feels like. I say to my Spirit:

“I choose Love.
Thy will be done.
I’m listening, God.
Love is all I need.
Love is all I am.
Thank you, God”

God knows what is in your heart. What could ever be more important, or more valuable than Love, than that Divine connection you have to your Higher Holy Spirit Self – the I AM Presence?

You CAN start where you are! Love is where YOU are. Choose Love!

When I have lost touch with my heart and gotten onto a mental/ego track – sometimes coming back into my heart brings sweet tears of relief and joy that I really CAN find my heart, I really CAN live a life of Love. My true identity really IS Love. I know that my experience of water flowing is a sweet healing release.

So often, music helps me get into my heart. It helps me to dissolve the resistance and reluctance that can feel SO strong. Music can help me dissolve the million excuses, delays and procrastinations that can only bring more suffering. The sound of the music travels through every cell of my body and wakes me up!! (Another tip – listen with your whole body – not just a headset to get the full healing experience.)
