When we put the ego in charge we’re guaranteed to fail.

When we put spirit in charge, we’re guaranteed success.

It’s not a mystery, it’s a tried and true formula for misery and failure or expansion and Joy! I know it may not seem like it, but we choose.

The challenge is that so often we get attached to an idea of what success is.  We can get so attached to what we think success has to be, what it looks like, what it sounds like, what it feels like, and how it’s being demonstrated.

Have you ever worked SO hard to accomplish something and you finally made it, only to find out that it didn’t bring you the happiness you thought it would?  I have!  It’s so crazy!  You’re a success, but you feel like a failure because you accomplished the ego’s idea of success and not Spirits.  Oy!

When we put Spirit in charge, we cannot fail. 

When we put ego in charge, even we meet our goal, it can feel like a failure.

Like everyone else, I’ve  learned this the hard way.  The thing is to really learn it and not have to repeat it. Those painful lessons are so, well, … painful!

There are too many ways that we can go off down a long and winding road to what we think will be success only to realize that it’s not what we’d really like at all.  That’s where self-forgiveness sets us free.

Everything works together for our good and there’s not one exception except in the opinion of the ego.  Isn’t that wonderful?  EVERYTHING works for our good.  No exceptions!

Let’s not make exceptions anymore.

Let’s forgive ourselves for having made exceptions in the past.

Our spiritual success IS in our willingness to let Spirit lead us and guide us to the highest and best every day, in every way!
