“Give him his place in the kingdom and you will have yours.”
This teaching from A Course in Miracles is so simple, yet we resist it with everything we’ve got.
The Kingdom Cannot Be Found Alone
“The kingdom cannot be found alone, and you who are the kingdom cannot find yourself alone.”
We can’t find the kingdom, which is what we are, by ourselves. We need to join with our brothers and sisters. This is what I absolutely know. It’s why I love joining together.
Yes, I like my alone time, but I’ve spent the better part of the last dozen years building a community so we can join together in peace and harmony, in healing and transformation.
When Christ Light Feels Hidden
If we can’t see the Christ in someone, it’s understandable. But it’s also because we don’t wish to. And when we see the Christ light in someone else, we will see it more clearly in ourselves.
Maybe we don’t want to see that. Maybe we secretly like the idea of thinking we’re bad, we’re wrong, we’re not good enough, we’re unlovable. We’ve carefully woven these garments of our personality and self-perception.
What My Counseling Work Taught Me
Being a spiritual counselor has helped me so much on my journey of awakening. I’m sure it’s why Spirit led me to teach spiritual counselors too.
Learning from my brothers and sisters, I’ve realized: those people working so hard to convince us they’re not worth anything? Our salvation lies in loving them, accepting them, joining with them, holding them in the light.
“Whenever you’re with a brother, you are learning what you are because you are teaching what you are.”
Your Holy Assignment
Who in your life seems undeserving of their place in the kingdom? That’s exactly who you need to give it to. Not because they need your approval, but because your freedom depends on it.
In Masterful Living, we practice this radical inclusion daily. We learn that everyone goes, or no one goes. That’s the deal.
