Sometimes healing is threatening. This might sound backwards, but it’s true.
And recognizing this can be incredibly liberating.
Here’s what made a difference for me: Understanding that we can go toward healing in increments. We can’t always just make that leap.
Quantum healing is always possible. The potential is there.
But sometimes it frightens us. For a host of reasons.
We’re not ready to have full responsibility. We’d like to hide. It could be any number of reasons and none of them is worth judging.
Everything is worth loving. Everything, everything, everything.
A Course in Miracles reminds us: “Miracles are merely the translation of denial into truth.”
But sometimes we’re not ready for that much truth all at once.
Many times I’ve counseled people who are very seriously ill to not focus on trying to heal the body, but instead to just focus on the relationship with God.
The relationship with love. To love ourselves and to being that loving presence. Giving up the judgments, the complaints, the condemnation, the hatred, and choosing love instead.
That release of the attachment to healing the physical, emotional, mental bodies is liberating.
It’s liberating because the goal isn’t physical, mental, emotional healing. It’s really awakening to the Christ. It’s really that which is healing to EVERYTHING. And that’s where I put my focus.
In our ego identification, we have attachment to healing the body, to healing our finances, to healing the things of this world. Which is totally understandable.
So let’s love ourselves in that process, in that experience.
Some of us can move faster, some of us move slower.
Our job is to see the Christ in everyone and to have no judgments, no complaints, whatsoever.
The beautiful thing is: when we stop forcing healing and start allowing love, healing happens naturally.
Not because we demanded it.
Not because we pushed for it.
But because love is what we are.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: In this episode, Are You Afraid of the Light? I dive into A Course in Miracles Chapter 13, Section 6 – “Finding the Present” – exploring why we struggle to see people as they are now instead of through the lens of our past experiences with them. I unpack the Course’s teaching that “the past can cast no shadow to darken the present unless you are afraid of the light,” and I get honest about my own edge: the stickiness I feel when someone hurts the people I love. I make an important distinction – you don’t have to give them access to your bank account to practice seeing their Christ nature. I share how intellectual understanding of spiritual teachings isn’t enough; we must actually live and apply them moment by moment. Come to a free forgiveness workshop at PowerofLoveMinistry.net – because when we see our brothers and sisters without their past, we are released too. We’re doing this together.
