I’m in a relationship with Spirit and that’s a beautiful and powerful thing. It’s essential to my happiness and fulfillment that I am fully IN this relationship with the Divine. Meaning, in order for me to be happy and prosperous, I must fully participate.
There was a time when I was not committed to the relationship, not by a long shot. I was playing a game of “hard to get” with God. I was keeping score in the most demented way.
There’s an old paradigm of thought about making deals with God. In that game, God is the sometimes loving, sometimes punishing parent. The relationship is co-dependent. “I’ll do this, if God does that.” And “I’m a lowly sinner, but as long as I grovel and repent, Daddy loves me.” There is no partnership. It is the original dysfunctional family!
It’s my intention to help dissolve that old paradigm through awakening to my Divinity. My Divine Essence isn’t something to be experienced someday in the future – when I give up my ways as a sinner and get to Heaven. It’s here NOW – and forever. I AM the One who decides to see it, know it, live in it and share the benefit with all beings, because I AM One with them. Right now, I have a “response-ability” to expand MY awareness, to live in this fundamental Truth: I AM One with God, eternal and infinite.

We’re responsible for our thoughts in the same way that we’re responsible for keeping our home clean and clear of clutter. We’re the ones who actually choose each and every one of our thoughts – over and over again. It can feel like it’s too much responsibility to clear the thousands of errant thoughts. That’s where Spirit can succeed, if we’re willing to allow it.
It can all feel like too much responsibility, too much clutter, too much of too much, but only when we go it alone.
“I, of myself, can do nothing.”
Spirit can do it all. When we allow.
Our relationship with Spirit is our primary relationship. And it’s also in EVERY relationship.
This is why Jesus said, “What you do to the least of them, you do to Me.”
It’s challenging to really be willing to see, know, and experience the unity of all life and the partnership that is always present to us. But if we don’t recognize the partnership with ALL life, we suffer. And we’ve suffered enough.
Consider anyone in your life that you feel doesn’t deserve your compassion. And then remember, “What you do to the least of them, you do to Me.”
To be able to have compassion for everyone and anyone is a heart healing.
This is the way back to a functional human family. We’re doing our part every day. That way the score is always “perfect Love.”
