One of the most challenging things for any spiritual student / light worker is when they don’t feel capable of standing in their power.
One of my favorite things to do is to help folks learn how to stand in their power, and then choose to stop playing small and REALLY live their heart-calling, whatever that may be.
When ANY one of us is shining the Light, we always inspire more people to do the same. I’ve helped many people make the leap into being an effective spiritual counselor, minister and teacher because of my willingness to heal my own resistance and reluctance.
It takes courage to stand in your power. Your power IS the power of Love.
Love is God Power and we all have it.
No one is without it. The question is, how to realize it.
When I first started my spiritual counseling practice I didn’t feel qualified to give anyone the kind of support I felt they deserved. After all, I was still struggling in SO MANY areas of my life – relationship, finances, career, and self-esteem.
Those are the four main topics all my clients came to me with.
I’m sure you can understand why I felt ill-qualified and ill-equipped to give counsel to people about the very same issues I was struggling with. This is true of almost every counselor I know – when they first begin.
I remember my first client sharing about her money fears while I was literally calculating if I had enough money to pay my credit card bill. Another client cried about feeling unlovable while that still dark shame still existed in my own mind.
How could I dare to guide them through territories I was still lost in myself?
THIS IS SO IMPORTANT: I’ve learned that feeling unqualified is a VERY common thing for many people starting out. In fact, MOST people get discouraged and give up. This need not be.
Our history, our struggle can become the gold and diamonds in our crown of glory – that’s what I’ve seen for myself and others in class with me!
When I first started ministerial school I was told that statistics showed that almost ALL of the people in my class would not be ministering five years after we graduated. Crazy!!
So many light workers go through A LOT of training, but still don’t feel competent to live their calling. It doesn’t have to be like that.
Feeling confident and qualified is what I offer training in.
There’s an easier way, and I would love to help you find it.

Why did miracles start breaking out all over my life and my client’s lives?
Because we were all willing to have a healing.
Because we were the two or more gathered in the name of Love for the purpose of healing.
Because we had strong intention even though we didn’t know exactly HOW the healing would unfold – we were willing.
I’ve learned so much about life, about Spirit, and about healing through counseling others to have healing in their lives. My heart opened up in ways I never imagined AND I stopped playing small.
That moment when I couldn’t stand playing small another day? It led to everything I have now – a thriving ministry, clients around the world, and the deep satisfaction of living my calling. I am deeply grateful!
I had many inner obstacles to overcome yet I was determined to stop playing small. I was sick of playing small!

DONE waiting to be ‘healed enough’ to serve.
The pain of staying small had finally become greater than the fear of stepping up.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: In this episode, Why Punishment Never Works (And What Does) I shared one of the most transformative teachings from A Course in Miracles that changed my life: there is no sin, only mistakes that need correction, not punishment. Working with Chapter 19’s section on “The Unreality of Sin,” I explain how I used to be deeply attracted to punishment – thinking people (including myself) should be punished for their “sins” – until I discovered that punishment is actually guilt’s way of keeping sin real and protecting it. I share how the ego brings sin to fear demanding punishment, when actually every mistake is just a call for love, and how I learned to replace the word “sin” with “tactical error” to remind myself that correction and compassion heal while punishment only perpetuates suffering. This shift freed me from my own patterns of self-punishment including alcohol abuse, because when I stopped seeing others as sinners deserving punishment, my own unconscious guilt dissolved.
