Today, I hear the morning church bells because it’s Sunday and I’m in Greece. I wake up thinking, “my mind is the mind of God, my life is the life of God, my heart is the heart of God, I AM God’s Freedom song.”
Yesterday in my Masterful Living class I was sharing that when I became clear that I had a burning desire to build my whole life around God and be focused on Love, Spirit, Awakening and Ascension ALL the time, I had no idea how that could ever support me financially. I actually had some concern about how that could all work.
I decided that I didn’t need much money to get by and I could live very frugally – which I’d already been doing for many years, if not most of my life. My parents and grandparents lived frugally and so that’s how I was raised. I had a strong belief that spiritual people can’t or shouldn’t earn much money. I truly believed that money corrupts people and distracts them. I’ve had to work with that belief to eliminate it because it takes a rather substantial staff of people to make this ministry, the Power of Love Ministry run. We give so much away for free, and aspire to give even more away, that the only way we can manage everything is to actively receive contributions of support.
I still live frugally, but I don’t live in fear of how to pay the bills. I also don’t believe that I shouldn’t earn much money. Right now, I like to invest in something new to give away, like the A Course in Miracles App or the Pray & Clear 40 day course or the Stop Playing Small Summit or something like that. My goal is to tithe 90% and be wealthy on 10%.
In choosing to be prosperous as a spiritual teacher, I’m sharing liberation from a belief that vows of poverty and lack are more spiritual. Money isn’t spiritual or unspiritual. It’s a symbol. It’s a tool. It only has the meaning that I give it. I decided to give money the meaning of support and nurturing in my life. I can invest in programs that nurture and support people in discovering their spiritual power and Beauty, and that’s my Joy.
I’m aware that one of the most important decisions I’ve made in my life is the decision to live the way I desire. I desire to be immersed in and sharing about Spirit every day as the focus of my day. That’s my passion. I love it so much. Many times it is absolutely thrilling to me. Many times I cry big wet sloppy tears because I’m so grateful that I get to do what makes me happy and I’ve found a model to do it that I can share with others. That’s why YOU are my answer prayer. You meet me half way. I am more grateful then you will ever know.
Now, I’m so thrilled to witness as the people who have been in class with me are spreading their spiritual teacher and counselor wings and inspiring others to do the same. WOO HOO! The ripples are moving out into the world in the most Beautiful way. The vision that I’ve had for thirty years is here now. It’s happening NOW. It’s manifest and growing.
