I absolutely love Malcolm Gladwell’s books. I have listened to all of them. He’s such a brilliant story teller and the sound of his voice is super yummy to me. My favorite of his books is Outliers: The Story of Success. Outliers is very inspiring to me. The premise of the book is his question: What makes high-achievers different?
He looks at some pretty spectacularly accomplished people including Microsoft genius, Bill Gates and The Beatles. One of the themes he notices is that many of these people in his study have logged 10,000 hours doing what they love.
Many people know they love to do something, but how many invest 10,000 hours in it just because they love it?
When I read his book the first time, I realized “that’s what I did.” I invested 10,000 hours in what I Love – being in communion with the Beloved. And, I’ve logged many thousands of hours in teaching and spiritual counseling.
I love that divine connection and, as you well know, I’m giving it away constantly. I receive so much from Spirit, if I don’t share it, I feel like I’d explode. I love being in that flow of Love and connection.
I encourage you to read or listen to Malcolm Gladwell’s book and be inspired to invest in your success as a spiritually awakened being! We all “invest” our time in something. Why not invest in having a spiritual practice that brings you to an awakening of your mind and a full realization of the Christ Presence as your very life so that you see and know beyond time and space and live the fullest life of Love that is possible?
