Today is my mom’s birthday. I dearly love my precious mother, Gayle Hadley. I feel so blessed to have had her for a mom. Even though we didn’t always get along well and sometimes we really struggled, the Love was always there and we both knew that.
I’ve not had my own children so I can only imagine how challenging it is to be a Mom. I’m ever so grateful for all the things I learned from my mom – and I’m also grateful for all the times when it was really challenging. My mother never gave up on me even when I was a real pain in the you-know-what! I always knew she was there for me and that means SO MUCH.
I’m especially grateful that in the last months of her life I was able to be with her and my father and to care for her with him. That was a really difficult time in so many ways, and yet there was so much Love between us all. I was profoundly thankful that I was able to spend the last precious months of my mother’s life with her. Every challenge we ever had was dissolved in the Love we shared in those final months.
I learned that Love heals all, and I learned to never doubt that. I know it with all my heart now and that’s worth EVERYTHING to me.
If you have a challenging relationship with anyone in your life, let the Love in to do the heavy lifting. Keep choosing Love in your heart and you will see the change happen. We’re all one and so when anyone chooses Love it lifts us all!
