One of the things that is so wonderful about a spiritual journey is the consistent sense of unfoldment. If you are feeling stagnant in your spiritual journey it’s likely that you’ve been avoiding the deeper practice that has been calling you.
It’s so easy to satisfy the ego’s seeking for spiritual superiority through the intellectual acquisition of information. However, that does not lead to much spiritual deepening – although it can be part of the process of elimination on the way to illumination. It’s very valuable to eliminate the idea that getting it “right” or being a “spiritual smarty pants” is somehow worth investing in.
The most spiritually awakened and evolved beings make themselves known by how compassionate, generous and kind they are – it’s never about what information they have. It’s about how clear they are that YOU are worth loving.
The path of spiritual awakening requires direct connection with the Divine through your spiritual practice. There’s no substitute for that. Recognizing that we are all part of the Divine and connecting with each other in Love is part of the spiritual practice. This brings growth and healing.
When we can realize that the thing that is the most valuable is our connection with God in all things then we really are living the good life!
