People have been asking me how to deal with their intense feelings about the politics around the election. Elections are a huge trigger for upset to many people. I get it. It used to bother me a lot too. That’s why I’m sharing about it on my radio show today!

You can use it, if you choose it! That’s my motto. I choose to use the upsets and irritations I experience to help me identify the stinkin’ thinkin’ – and it works! Of course it does require great willingness to lay down the attachment to thinking you know what is best and what is worst.

I tend not to comment much on political candidates because I don’t think it’s helpful. I saw a funny video with comedian Stephen Colbert where he said that he thought that all Donald Trump really wanted was for us to love him. Colbert posited that if we could all send Trump some Love then he wouldn’t need to run for president. And to be honest, it felt true to me. So, I made sure to send Trump some Love.

As of today, it looks as though we’re going to have Hilary and Donald to choose from. Which will definitely be interesting and, from my perspective, it will be incredibly healing. You can choose to have it be healing for you and the world. That’s what I’m choosing.

Elections bring up a lot of hidden beliefs and that’s a good thing. Notice what triggers you and don’t just accept it. Take it as a healing opportunity. Whatever you do, don’t disparage anyone or even allow yourself to become upset. Turn to the Higher Holy Spirit Self for guidance. Take the triggers as an opportunity to grow your Peace of mind and leave the ego behind.

Your mind is the mind of God and how you hold things influences the entire world. Your word is the word of God and manifests as your experience – teach only Love for that is what you are. Your life is the life of God – use your life to demonstrate compassion and Beauty and you’ll bring benefit to all.

“Seek not to change the world, but to change your mind about the world.” A Course in Miracles

And, if you can find a way to laugh about it, that’s great! I found a video of Stephen Colbert’s response to Trump’s winning the Republican nomination and it made me laugh a lot – I hope it gives you some laughs too! Enjoy!

If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful won’t you please share at facebook and twitter to let others know? Thank you!
