This past week in my Masterful Living Course, I was sharing with folks that I had an old pattern come up of preparing for attack and rehearsing my defense. That is SUCH an old pattern for me and I had a most wonderful experience to share with you.
I had purchased an exercise bike from a store here in Kauai and when I got home and put the thing together I realized that they hadn’t offered me an extended warranty. I find those things can be helpful – especially where it’s so humid here in Hawaii and things corrode really easily. So, I went back to the store a few weeks later (it’s out of my way), and I also had received a coupon in my email for 20% off a single item. I thought perhaps I could get the 20% off on the warranty.
As I was walking from my car to the store I realized that I was mentally preparing for the customer service person to be against me. I thought they might say that I’d waited too long to get the warranty and my chance was over. I thought they’d say they couldn’t use the coupon on the warranty. I was rehearsing their attack and preparing my defense when I quickly realized what I was doing because I had started to lose my Peace.
I interrupted the thought pattern.
I said “wait a minute! Jennifer, why would you prepare for something you don’t wish to experience? Be masterful and prepare for having things go better than you could possibly imagine! Give it to the angels! Hold a high intention that all will be served well with ease and grace!”
In the store, the customer service person, Hanna, said that I could still get the warranty for $43. She was the one who had rung me up for the bike in the first place and it had been her error not to offer me the warranty. She said I couldn’t use the 20% off coupon for the warranty.
I was happy, no problem. All good. Ring me up for the warranty.
Then Hannah said, “hang on, I can refund you the cost of the bike which was $300. I can charge you again for the bike, give you the 50% off sale price that you bought it for AND use the 20% off coupon, which saves you $60. and then you can buy the warranty for $43 and get $17. back. How does that work for you?”
Mighty fine, I said! I’ll take it!
Essentially, I got the warranty for free plus $17. back.
AND I noticed these expensive fancy socks, that she said were the best socks ever and she gave me 20% off on those too. So I also got the socks and still had a few bucks more in my pocket than when I walked in the store. PLUS, MUCH MORE importantly, I had a loving and fun exchange with Hannah. We were both happy and satisfied.
When I let go of preparing for what I DID NOT wish to have happen, and stopped rehearsing my defense, and simply COMMANDED that the highest and best was what I KNEW would happen and I had NO obstacles or doubt in my mind, something MUCH more helpful than I would have imagined happened.
When I got the ego out of the way, got into the flow of LOVE in my heart – to have a loving exchange with Hannah, I was quite NATURALLY having an experience of prosperity and abundance.
When you’re thinking lack and attack that’s your experience.
When you’re thinking things AREN’T working together for your good, that’s your experience. When you’re willing to be masterful, you can decide your experience.
Blaming others for your upset, for your sense of lack and limitation, just brings more of the same.
EVERYTHING is working together for your good.

I’ve had this lesson so many times before and that’s why it’s painful to have it again.
This time I choose to release ALL judgment, harvest the learning and MOVE ON!
