There’s a real benefit to celebrating our spiritual wins – our victories over the ego.  Many times we have significant wins in our relationships, conversations and self-talk, but we don’t acknowledge the victory.

One of the things I learned to do a long time ago was to throw my arms up in the air in a sign of victory.  I say,

“Victory is mine!

Victory is mine!

Victory is mine!”

It feels good and it helps me to anchor and remember these times of spiritual success.  For many of us, we’re far more likely to anchor and remember the failures and the places where we feel we let ourselves down.  That’s not helpful.

I’ve learned to acknowledge my own successes and to do a victory dance too!

I’ve learned the power of speaking to myself in ways that are encouraging and inspiring.

It really helped me to move out of self-criticism and into self-appreciation.

My victories aren’t over other people, they’re over the ego’s playing small and attachments to living in littleness, lack and limitation.

My greatest victories are when I’ve been able to be loving even though I was triggered or upset.

Being able to celebrate and mark those victories was very helpful to me.

It helped me realize that I can do this spiritual work for real.  Sometimes I fail, but I’m not a failure.

It all adds up to our victory and our spiritual liberation.  Each step is valuable.  That’s something to celebrate!
