How many times did I miss the opportunity for my quickening, my healing, my transformation because I wasn’t willing?  Conservative estimate:  Millions

Not that I still don’t, but oh my gosh! I missed so many opportunities. I was constantly delaying and putting it off, making something completely without value more important because of my identification with the small, selfish ego identity.

The Theme That Shifts Our Consciousness

One of the things that’s a constant theme in A Course in Miracles is don’t wait.

Don’t tarry, don’t miss the opportunity for the quickening, for the healing and for the awakening.

Seize the moment. Seize the day. Seize the opportunity that’s always there for us.

With the holidays upon us and the end of the year approaching, this is the perfect time to stop delaying. Why drag these patterns, these grievances, these blocks to Love into one more day, much less one more  year?

What Made a Difference for Me

Here’s what made a difference for me: recognizing that every moment I delay is a moment I’m choosing the small self over my true Self. Every time I say “I’ll deal with that emotional issue tomorrow,” I’m choosing limitation over freedom.

In Chapter 7, Section VIII, Jesus tells us: “Do not be afraid of the ego. It depends on your mind, and as you made it by believing in it, so you can dispel it by withdrawing belief from it.”

We can dispel the ego by withdrawing our belief from it!

That means we don’t have to wait. We don’t have to figure it all out first.

We just have to be willing to withdraw our investment in the small self.

And here’s what’s so exciting—it can happen today! Today, today, today!
Let’s do it without delay so it can be done today!

I’ve been doing this work since 1997, and I love it because it’s really the purpose of my life—to remember the truth and value the truth. I used to value the story I’d made up so much, and I see that interest has faded away.

This is a time of great quickening, if we desire it.  And I do!
