The consistency of the Voice for God is its gentleness. It’s non-judging. It never says, “You’d better do this. You’d better not do that. Ugh, you shouldn’t have done that. That was wrong. That was bad.”

That’s not how Spirit communicates.

The Voice for God is gentle and repetitive. It says things like, “Paint. Just paint. It’s a good time to paint.” Or, “Call your neighbor. Talk to your neighbor. Visit your neighbor.” Again and again, very gently, consistently.

The ego is different. It shouts, it demands, it screams, it craves and needs. Choosing that voice is choosing war. Choosing the still small voice is choosing Peace.

The choice for the Holy Spirit is the choice for God.

All we have to do is be willing to listen.

The Higher Holy Spirit Self is nothing if it’s not consistent. It’s eternal, unchanging, always the same. That consistency is how we recognize it.

This is why I’ve learned to trust the gentle nudge, even when it seems small. Does it return to gentleness? Does it keep inviting you toward love? That’s how you know.

If you’d like to dive into this with others consider joining me in my October Deep Dive Workshop: Trust & Follow Your Intuition, where we’ll explore trusting the guidance we’re already receiving.

If you’d like support with this, I invite you to consider joining me in Masterful Living 2027 – registration is getting ready to open and the sooner you join, the more bonuses you get. We have so many bonuses including this workshop:

October Deep Dive Workshop: Trust & Follow Your Intuition – Trust is the #1 characteristic of God’s Teachers according to A Course in Miracles, and after 26 years counseling spiritual students, I’d say it’s also the #1 issue we have. Trust is a skill we can learn, and learning it changes the quality of every day of the rest of our lives!  Saturday, October 24 Click here to learn more.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE:  Putting Up With Them Isn’t Love In this episode of A Course in Miracles: Walking the Talk, Living the Love, I explore the codependent relationships that keep so many of us walking on eggshells. We give more, love harder, and keep the peace, and somehow the same dynamic comes right back. I’ve seen these bargains up close in the many relationships I’ve worked with over more than 25 years as a counselor. This conversation looks at what really keeps the pattern in place and what it would mean for the relationship to finally change.
