I transformed how I see my spiritual journey.
For years, I felt like I was in an exhausting war with the ego.
Two steps forward, one step back, another step back. I’d bang my head against what felt like a glass ceiling, convinced there must be some secret code to break through.
But here’s what I discovered: The ego isn’t a being. It has no power of its own.
The ego is just a thought system that we project onto everything we see.
Remember in Star Wars when Obi-Wan appears as a hologram? If you tried to fight that projection, who would win? All you’d need to do is turn off the projector, and poof—it’s gone.
That’s exactly what the ego is—a projection of thoughts we’ve identified with.
The ego can’t create anything.
Only God creates, and guess what?
You ARE part of that creative power.
The ego is just an empty thought system that only seems powerful when we lend it our attention.
Your True Power Source Is LOVE
Here’s the truth that will set you free: All the strength the ego seems to have comes from YOU—your Higher Holy Spirit Self—looking through the lens of “not enough” or “unlovable.”
So often, we think we’re weak because we can’t defeat the ego. But innocence is strength, and nothing else is strong. When you recognize your innocence, the whole battle dissolves.
The Path Forward
Instead of fighting, I learned to simply withdraw my attention from ego thoughts. No battle required. Just a gentle turning toward love.
“Holy Spirit, I’m willing to let this go.” That’s all it takes.
You don’t have to figure out the how. You don’t have to earn your freedom. Your willingness—even if it’s tiny—is enough.

The war was never real. You are always the victor because you are always Love itself.
