Right now, more than ever, everything that seemed to be hidden is being brought to the surface. What’s coming up is the unhealed bits.

When we see our own unhealed bits come to the surface, how many of us are actually able to look at that and go, “Oh my gosh, this is so great! My grievances are coming to the surface fpr healing.  YAY!”?

When our light shines on the darkness, it IS extremely helpful.
When things are hidden, we can’t get at them.
We don’t consciously recognize them.
Life is much more difficult then and more frustrating – we feel trapped in the pain.

But when it’s right up front, when the pot is being stirred – then we can do some really deep healing work. That IS our TRUE heart’s desire – to heal – to return to Love.

One thing I’ve learned: when the fit hits the shan, that’s when we go to work. We find the courage to roll up our spiritual sleeves.

We have to be able to laugh at some of this stuff. Because otherwise we just cry from the insanity. But if we are crying from the insanity, we’ve lost perspective – because we’re never upset for the reason we think.

When things go haywire, it’s our opportunity to do that deep healing work.

Recently, students in my Masterful Living Program were sharing this exact realization – that when the triggers are happening and the upset is pouring in, if we can just pause right in that moment, everything shifts. That pause gives us an opportunity to connect to the Higher Holy Spirit Self so we don’t take things so seriously.

A Course in Miracles tells us in the Development of Trust section: “It takes great learning to understand that all things, events, encounters, and circumstances are helpful.”

When we pause, we move from being reactive to responsive.
We respond with Love when we’re connected to Spirit.
We react with anger and upset when we’re coming from the ego.

We choose which way we’re going to go.

The events of the world – the intensity, the distress, the things that feel overwhelming – they’re all cries for Love. Every single one. That’s what they are.

Our Change Your Mind About the World program starting Saturday, May 30 is all about learning to see these worldly events correctly – as opportunities for healing rather than reasons for despair.

Let’s roll up our spiritual sleeves together and clear our minds of the insanity!

SATURDAY:   Change Your Mind About the World – Are you upset by what you see in the world – join with Alan Cohen, James Twyman, Michael Mirdad, Lisa Natoli and me – we’re bringing the darkness to the light together.  Click here for more info.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE:  Not Perfection with Michael Mirdad  PREMIERS TODAY Most of us who love A Course in Miracles have done it: tried to work the lessons harder, study more, finally get forgiveness right. Underneath the effort, there’s often a quiet shame that we’re still not living it well enough. I felt that for years. This week I sat down with Michael Mirdad, and we kept circling something ACIM says about all that striving, something most of us read right past. What if we’ve misunderstood what’s actually being asked of us?
