Yesterday at Project: Service L.A., Thomas Hennessey shared that I had taught him the 11th Commandment and it was something like “Thou shalt not think poorly of oneself.” I love it!
I realized a while ago that for me to energize beliefs that aren’t true is to bare false witness against myself. If I start judging others, I’m bearing false witness against them. I’ve learned that unless I would like to have others bear false witness against ME, I’d better not do that to others.
Like attracts like. Everything always comes back.
So, if we do allow ourselves to bear false witness and think poorly of ourselves, it’s going to come back. It’s going to be mirrored back to us. It’s going to come up in our face and we’ll have to look at it at some point. Is that really what you’d like to plan for your future? Do you really want to keep revisiting your own self-judgment? Ugh.
Let’s resolve to give up bearing false witness against anyone for any reason! Let’s be done with it! Let’s choose Freedom – which feels SO good and is our natural, authentic state!
Truth is the way to liberation. Let’s begin now.
