The other day I was walking my brother’s dog, Dixie, and when we were coming back towards the house I had the thought to keep going and walk in the other direction for a while. Dixie made the assumption that we were going back to the house and headed right for the door. Dixie reminded me of myself.
Dixie didn’t realize I was thinking about going for a longer walk. She was in a routine, a pattern that had been long established and so she did what felt normal and right to her.
The more I walk this beauty road of healing, the more I realize how ingrained the patterns are. I’m more willing than ever to do new things, go new ways, to break the established pattern.
The routines that used to comfort me no longer do. And I love that.
As I cultivate a pristine awareness of the Truth that sets me free, I’m free to make more loving and expansive choices. I can’t settle for feeling comfortable. AND comfortable is in’t so comfortable anymore!
I’ve gotten used to a constant change and constant expansion, the falling away of “scales from eyes.” I absolutely LOVE the way that I’m feeling. I’m feeling RELIEVED of old burdens, old thought patterns. I’m feeling restored and more myself.
