There’s no advantage to suffering. Suffering takes time and naturally indicates that we’re, in a sense, “stuck in time.” Spiritual practice saves time by eliminating the causes of suffering.
Spiritual practice, when done correctly is a deep purification that eliminates the false beliefs that result in opinions and judgments that are the foundation for feeling upset, taking offense, complaining and feeling hurt.
In A Course in Miracles, it speaks again and again about saving time. It speaks of getting on a vertical path to healing rather than a linear, horizontal one. That’s what we’re interested in.
There are some sections in ACIM that are so clear and so helpful when it comes to ending the suffering, saving time, and waking up. Yet, people study A Course in Miracles for decades without recognizing them. Why is that? They aren’t willing to have a deeper spiritual practice that cultivates a pristine awareness, and so they don’t see what they’re not willing to see even though it’s right in front of them. That was me.
What’s required is simply this – the willingness to remember, to wake up, and to have a revelation of Truth. Many say they are willing, but by their actions it’s clear they are not. By their choices they indicate they are not willing even a little bit. Their heart isn’t willing.
This is why we pray to be more willing.
Our willingness shows in the choices we make.
Today, every choice you make to be nonjudgmental and compassionate will bring you to greater willingness and will definitely save time spent suffering.
In this way, every day can be a REALLY good day.
We’re waking up together and I’m so grateful for that! If you’re finding what I’m sharing to be helpful won’t you please share at Facebook and twitter to let others know? Thank you!
