Trust is one of the most challenging issues for almost everyone who is developing a spiritual practice. People tell me this all the time. We struggle to trust God, our loved ones, our friends, and even ourselves.
When we’re pretending to be “all spiritual” while inwardly attacking ourselves and others with judgmental thoughts, we’ll have a really hard time trusting others. We assume they are as untrustworthy as we are.
Consider your life right now, and identify something in your life that you would most like to change.
Now, consider this: As it regards to this particular issue, where is your trust and faith?
Are you trusting in Spirit to show you the way to the highest and best?
OR
Are you trying to figure it out and make your own way?
Is your trust in Love?
Are you allowing Love to unfold?
Or are you trusting in the ego’s ability to figure it out?
Are you trying to make it happen, trying to control the river of life, push the river, block the river?
Be willing to look at where you are.
Take responsibility for things as they are and to be at Peace with it.
When you can move into a peaceful state with things just as they are you, then you’re in acceptance. Your choices are what have brought you to this moment.
Move into acceptance so that you can harvest the learning that you have put so much effort into creating. There is a miracle encoded into your experience, if you will allow it.
Once you’re actually truly willing to harvest the learning from your choices, then you can move from that space of distrust and create something new, something wonderful, and something you really would love and enjoy. When you’re willing to except responsibility and harvest the learning, then the resistance and the reluctance will dissolve and you can freely move forward.
When you can relax into the moment and accept what IS, and become that relaxed observer, then you can move into the space of allowing yourself to receive and accept life you truly desire. It’s amazing how this works!
When you’re focused on being kind, gentle, generous, patient, accepting, allowing, loving, then the Universe will bring it right to you. Many people aren’t actually willing to receive the gifts that are being offered them because they don’t trust and they don’t feel worthy – but they can flip that switch in their mind and make a new choice.
You really don’t have to labor in the world form to get to a place of trust. This is what laboring in vain is — trying to make things happen, rather than calling them forth and trusting the Universe to bring us the highest and best.
Let the Universe build the perfect thing, custom designed for you. Trust. Focus your attention on being receptive, available, allowing, and we do that through cultivating non-judgment as our spiritual practice.
Willingness brings everything to your doorstep. Judgment blocks the good from your awareness. If you’re not focused on Love, what are you focused on? If you’re not trusting Love and Spirit, what are you trusting? Where is your faith?
If you’d like to have more Love, more Joy, more Peace in your life, focus on Love and trust.
Remember that like attracts like, and when you are focused on what you don’t like, what you have an aversion to, what bothers you, what do you think you’re going to attract? Focus on what you’d like to experience. If you’re tense and stressed, change the channel to what you’re grateful for.
This spiritual practice requires your trust, which builds your faith. Trust is a spiritual practice that yields an unshakable faith. What could be better than that?
What would you call forth if you could place your trust and faith in Spirit? Place your answer in the comments below and let me hold it in prayer for you!
Are you interested in joining me? I had so much miraculous healing in my family and in my heart that I had to share it with others. That’s why 11 years ago, I created a boot camp class called Family Freedom. The very first time I offered it, shortly after my mother’s passing in 2008, people also had amazing and miraculous healing. I realized that the curriculum was really all about applying the ACIM principles in a way that brought Freedom from fear, and so I’ve continued to work on this class and update it and now I call it Finding Freedom From Fear.
This class is so powerful and transformative that it’s also a requirement for my Spiritual Counseling Certification Program.
I haven’t offered this class in six months, but I’m thinking of offering it soon. I’m thinking of doing something special next time I offer it so that people can do the class with a friend or family member, as there is definitely strength in joining with a partner. If you’d like to be on the waiting list so you can join me next time I offer it, you can go here to sign up for the waiting list and I’ll keep you posted.
