For a long time, there wasn’t a day that went by without at least one moment where a negative pattern came up into my awareness for healing.

Feeling the unrelenting opportunity to move out of the painful patterns of the past, I got very good at healing them.

Here’s what I learned to do when I felt agitated, frustrated, angry, judgmental, confused, or in despair. Or I noticed there was an attachment, some emotional thing going on. That was the moment my healing got activated.

Here’s exactly what I did. I called the name of God: Beloved, I am that I am. Then I declared that I was no longer interested in this pattern.

In my mind, I pointed to it. I put my awareness right on the thought, the irritation, the upset I was feeling. The thought might be “this is bad, this is wrong, that’s so stupid, I’m never going to this, I’m always going to that.” Blame and shame, regret and resentment, hurt, doubt, fear, worry, jealousy, rage, revenge, guilt.

Then I said this:

“I’m making a holy offering of this to the Holy Spirit to miraculously heal this pattern back to the root source so that I never experience it again. And let anyone else who experiences this pattern also have a healing, so that no one ever experiences it again.”

That was the whole practice. Sometimes I only had to do it once and the pattern was gone. That was the last little nub of it, brought into my awareness so I could transmute it forever.

Notice how little was asked of us. A Course in Miracles is precise about our job:

“Your part is only to offer Him a little willingness to let Him remove all fear and hatred, and to be forgiven.”

That was it. Not force. Not figuring it out. A little willingness, offered.

There was a reframe inside this that made all the difference for me. When a negative thought showed up, I didn’t think oh, there’s that horrible thought again.

I thought: yippee, I can help heal this thought forever.

Back to the root source. That was our charge as lightworkers, to transmute and transcend these egoic patterns, to remember our true identity and awaken within the dream. It was totally possible. I know, because I used to believe it wasn’t, and I proved it to myself.

This practice is what we work with week after week in my Masterful Living Program, where healing self-sabotage is a major focus of the whole year. Without that focus, we can study spirituality until our eyes fall out of our head and still not be living it.

With this practice, I started to say Yipee!!

Sometimes when we become overwhelmed and upset by what we think we see we find ways to drown out the intensity of our reactions.  We fall into various forms of self-medication and self-sabotage.  I know a lot about that.  And that’s why I created a program to rise up out of that pain.
