Here’s the thing that has worked for me, and it’s been so helpful. I stopped trying to decide how to figure everything out. I stopped trying to decide who’s good and who’s bad, who’s right and who’s wrong. I stopped trying to decide how to make them see, how to make them understand, how to defend myself.

All of those things just affirm that I’ve been attacked. And that’s the crucifixion.

My work – and it is work for me, though it gets easier and easier every day – is to say: “Okay, everything works together for my good. Therefore, I have not been attacked. That is my perception. That is my projecting. I can see this differently.”

I can choose the resurrection. I’ve had enough of the crucifixion. Enough.

Today’s the day. I’m done with it.

Now, the opportunity to choose crucifixion again will keep rolling around. I see it rolling around frequently. But I don’t have to choose it. I don’t have to believe in lack. There is no lack. If I choose to believe in it, I’m going to experience it – but I don’t have to.

Instead of figuring out how – how to think about it, how to deal with it, how to respond, how to react – I say, “Holy Spirit, You show me. You show me how. You teach me how. You let me know. I’ll wait on Your command.”

A Course in Miracles tells us: “Everyone gives as he receives, but he must choose what it will be that he receives.”

When I’m in my right mind, when I’m willing, when I’m more interested in extending Love and compassion than in seeking revenge – Spirit shows me how.

It comes clear. I know that I know that I know. I follow, and things go well.

When I doubt, that’s a time for me to wait and give that doubt over to the Holy Spirit for healing.

For a long, long time I noticed I still had this tendency to want to be the one who decides who’s good and bad and right and wrong. But it doesn’t serve me anymore, and I know that. Let me not go down that path one more time.

In my Masterful Living Program, we practice this daily: catching the crucifixion, choosing the resurrection, and letting Spirit lead.  It’s a healing path.  It’s the path of awakening.

The crucifixion is over as soon as we’re ready to move on.

Now is the time for us to rise up, redeem ourselves and give up the crucifixion.  It’s easier when we do it together. It’s easier when we do it together.  Join me for a free forgiveness workshop on Monday, April 6.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE:  I’m Done Suffering – For Any Reason What if the thing that happened to you didn’t mean what you think it means – and what if it didn’t have to mean anything at all? In this Easter episode, I share a simple story about mice eating my sunflower seeds over the winter – and how I practiced neutrality instead of upset. Then I turn to Chapter 29, Section 6 of A Course in Miracles – “Forgiveness and the End of Time” – and explore what the Course calls the “sacrifice” of forgiveness. I share the shift that took me from believing the world was cruel and gruesome to experiencing life as lovely and filled with blessing. And I reveal a surprising discovery: when we practice non-judgment, there’s nothing to forgive. If you’ve been exhausted by forgiveness work, this one might show you an easier way. We’re doing this together.
