A Course in Miracles tells us that we have a Communication Link with God and yet one of the most frequently asked questions I get is: How can I improve my intuition?
Let us consider what our intuition actually is. I love to look at Webster’s dictionary and see what they say. Their official definition is
- quick and ready insight
- a : immediate apprehension or cognition b : knowledge or conviction gained by intuition c : the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference
Our intuitive insights come from our relationship with our Higher Holy Spirit Self, our TRUE Self. It’s a divine dialogue, or conversation that’s instantaneous and it doesn’t take time.
Like prayer itself, intuition isn’t governed by time and space. Intuition is our own “direct knowledge.” And that knowledge is profoundly helpful. It SAVES time and it averts suffering when we listen and follow.
No matter how often we choose NOT to listen and follow, we are never judged or punished. How amazing and cool is that?
Spirit doesn’t punish, because it doesn’t judge. That’s our true nature – we can return to that.
ACIM tells us in the 11th Miracle Principle, “Prayer is the medium of miracles. It is a means of communication of the created with the Creator. Through prayer love is received, and through miracles love is expressed.”
When we release the blocks to Love, intuition, insight and inspiration flow.
