Here’s what might be the most freeing declaration we could ever make. It’s not complicated. It’s not theological. It’s just this:

I’m not interested in punishing anyone, including myself, anymore.

I’m not interested in complaining anymore.
I’m not interested in being a victim anymore.

When I tell you that went to my heart, closer to home than any spiritual concept I’ve ever studied – I mean it. That simple declaration was my liberation.

It came from a place of deep honesty.

A Course in Miracles teaches us that there’s nothing to judge and nothing to forgive because it never really happened – it’s all an illusion. And of course I understand that. However, that isn’t helpful when I’m trying to work grievances out of my mind – because they seem SO REAL to me if I believe them.

What’s been helpful is the simple truth: I’m truly not interested in punishing anymore. I see what it costs me. I feel how it depletes me. I absolutely KNOW that like attracts like and if I’m looking to hurt other people I will feel hurt by what other people do or don’t do even if they have zero intention to hurt me.

Life is SO intense right now. I’ve been watching so many longtime spiritual students spiraling down – feeling depressed, feeling deprived, feeling despair. People feel like they just can’t forgive some of the things they see going on in the world right now. The thinking, the attitudes, the bigotry, the racism, the divisiveness, the unkindness that we see – it’s hard to bear. I understand. Demonstrating, calling our representatives, and sending postcards doesn’t relieve the obsessive compulsive attack thoughts.

Instead of seeing it as something to forgive, it becomes something to complain about, something to judge, something to attack.

The only way out of the intensity is Forgiveness.

In the ego identification, we become convinced that it’s worth it to hold on to our attack thoughts. Because if we don’t live in this negativity, in this resentment – then “those people are getting away with it.” We’re here to hold them responsible. We’re here to make them pay for it.

And many of us are willing to dedicate our lives, our happiness, our health, and our wealth to that – to the revenge, to the punishment.

I understand that all of it comes from a deep wound.

A Course in Miracles Lesson 68 tells us: “It is as sure that those who hold grievances will forget who they are, as it is certain that those who forgive will remember.”

Just think of everything in our life right now, today, that’s unpleasant. All of it. Every little scrap of the unpleasantness, the pain, the suffering, the difficulty – every single bit of it is a direct result of holding grievances.

That’s why forgiveness offers everything we want.
It’s the direct path.
It’s the fastest path.

And the saving grace?
That beautiful ACIM truth: I do not know what anything is for.
However, I do KNOW that Spirit will always use everything for good.

Here’s what helped me the most: the willingness to turn it over to our Creator. We turn it over to the Holy Spirit, the higher wisdom for healing. That really worked. “I do not know what anything is for” has been my saving grace.

Once I let it go – there’s Peace.
Peace in my mind.
Peace in the world
Peace in my life
Peace in my relationships.

So my invitation to all of us is not to labor in vain anymore. To move into that place of true non-judgment.

In my Masterful Living Program, we practice this together all year long. We cultivate the willingness to lay our burdens on the holy altar fire of God’s infinite Love, setting ourselves free.

And our FREE Forgiveness Workshops are available regularly – the next one is a week from today – a powerful space to practice this healing release.

I there’s a specific person you need to release an attachment to – my Letting Go of A Person Deep Dive Workshop on March 21 is a focused, healing opportunity.

“Ain’t gonna study war no more.” We are done. We are truly interested in the Freedom, in the Joy, in the Peace. And it’s ours already – it’s just beyond our grievances.

We can do this! The time has come. The Light is ours, within us. We have everything we need to rise above the battlefield

If you’re struggling with a relationship, and it feels like co-dependency, it feels like you need to release an obsessive-compulsive attachment, I have a workshop for you. In Letting Go of a Person – Saturday, March 21st, (We’re doing this on the equinox to take advantage of that powerful energy!) I’ll support you in tangible clear steps you can follow to release the attachment. LATEST ACIM PODCAST EPISODE:  Don’t Let the Little Interferers Pull You to Littleness What would happen if you simply refused to let anything pull you into littleness? I just got back from Costa Rica where I broke my laptop on day one, came home with a sinus infection, and almost missed my flight because I forgot I was flying internationally. And yet – I had one of the most peaceful travel experiences of my life. In this episode, I share what happened at that airport and how A Course in Miracles Chapter 23 gave me the exact teaching I needed: “Let not the little interferers pull you to littleness.” With everything happening in the world right now – the wars, the chaos, the things that could so easily upset us – I explore what it really means to be unbotherable. Not through denial, but through knowing who we really are. I share the phrase I kept repeating to myself when nothing was working, and why staying innocent (even when I made a tactical error) changed everything.
