My kitty, Sattva, is such a love bug!
Today, as happens pretty much every day, I was doing some cooking prep at the kitchen island and he jumped up there and put his entire body right under my chin and pressed himself against me.
When he comes at me like that it can mean a couple of different things. Mostly, it means “I love you, and love me, so I’d like you to pet me and cuddle me to the maximum.”
Essentially, he’s an aggressive snuggler. He really loves when I pick him up and hug him and hold onto him. At night he likes to sleep pressed up against me, either to my back or my belly where he can feel my breathing and the warmth of my body.

Like most cats, Sattva likes to put his butt in my face. That’s a cat thing. It’s like offering your cheek to be kissed. He does it to Bodhi, my dog, and Bodhi is always very happy to lick his butt. It’s not my thing, but it’s definitely theirs. Hahahaha.
Sometimes he snuggles me to get me to feed him. That’s a very common thing as well, but most of the time I really feel he just has a desire to be intimate and feel the Love.
Sattva lets people he just met pet him and even rub his belly.
I know it’s because he’s grown up in a very loving environment where he feels adored. I love that he doesn’t hold back. He lets me know what he wants and needs. If he’s not demonstrating it with his actions, he’s sending me mental pictures to get me to respond. He’s a clever boy.
While I don’t know that I’d like everyone in my life being as aggressive as Sattva can be, I appreciate the level of self-esteem he has. He has no self-worth issues. He feels good about himself. He’s a good example of a being with an healthy ego.
It just shows you how beneficial it is to be raised with lots of Love.
Love is the way!
NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: my topic is Stop Upsetting Yourself. With so much going on in the world, many people are upset a lot of the time. A constant state of agitation is a form of self-sabotage that can easily be transformed and eliminated. In this episode, I offer a pathway to move out of being upset, angry, frustrated and move into Peace. We’re never upset for the reason we think is more than just a saying. It’s true.
