You know that scene in The Matrix where the guy sells out Neo and the team? He says, “Sometimes I just want to have a steak.” He doesn’t want to eat the goo the rebels eat. He’d rather be famous, wealthy, eating steak.
That movie tells it like it is. It really is our story.
On some level, along the way in our journey, we became enamored of our own opinions and judgments. Instead of being free, we decided we’d rather have the illusion.
But here’s what I’ve discovered: I was so trapped in the matrix of my own thinking. During my recent time with family, I kept having these memory flashbacks of how I used to think and behave when I was really stuck in that matrix.
“The fearful must miscreate because they misperceive creation. When you miscreate, you are in pain.” (ACIM T-2.VII)
The good news? We’re waking up!
We’re remembering the truth of our identity as spiritual beings.
And I’m realizing how far I’ve come – and so can you.
Perfect love is all that there is.
Perfect love is all that we are.
We are already the Christ presence.
That is our true nature, our true identity.
