Monday felt pretty crazy. Even my puppy, Bodhi, behaved in a crazy way. She was barking at me while I was teaching a class. She’s never barked at me before, but she wanted to play with me and wanted me to get off zoom. Understandable. With a puppy, you can’t just explain your priorities and expect them to understand. Bodhi has a very small vocabulary at this point.

Generally, and for some time now, it’s felt as though things were spinning out of control. It’s felt like we’re living in crazy town.

There are times when it feels like it’s getting better. It seems like there’s relief on the horizon, and then it gets more intense instead. Surprise!

This is the time of practicing “no attachments.”
In order to have Peace of mind, we have to release our attachments to how we wish it would be.

In order to feel good about ourselves and our lives we really must hold the vision of the world we’d like to see.

Conflict in the world, in nature, in politics, in our family, in our workplace, all of it, is the projection of our own inner conflicts.

All of our inner conflicts are the same no matter how we might describe them or experience them. Inner conflict comes from saying we’d like the Peace of God, but choosing something else.

To have Peace we must choose Peace.

We can’t simultaneously choose Peace and complain.
We can’t blame others for our upsets and choose Peace at the same time.

War is over if you want it.

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life, for us, if we choose it.

We are the dreamers of the dream.
