For years, I thought faith was something I had to convince myself to have. I thought I needed to work really hard to believe things that didn’t make sense to my logical mind.
But my spiritual practice taught me something revolutionary: Faith is not a belief.
Faith is a willingness to place our trust in the unseen, in the invisible.
Faith is knowing. It’s knowing the truth rather than trying to believe something that feels untrue.
When we’re in touch with the Spirit of the Living God within us, we know that God is all there is, and that we’re not separate from God nor could we ever be. We remember that we’re God’s own. We know that we’re One with our brothers and sisters, and that we’re actually part of God.
This knowing happens when we’re connected to our I AM Presence, our Higher Holy Spirit Self. It’s not about mental gymnastics or forcing ourselves to have faith. It’s about returning to what we already know in our hearts. And only Love and willingness can bring us there.
The beautiful thing about real faith is that it’s active.
We’re not just sitting around hoping things work out. We’re placing our trust in Love and then acting from that place of trust.
Many people I talk with have been studying spiritual principles for years but are secretly quite unhappy. They’ve read the books, listened to the audios, but something’s missing. That missing piece isn’t more information – it’s the willingness to actually practice placing their faith in Spirit rather than in their ability to figure everything out.
When we place our faith in the right place – in Love, in God, in the truth of our spiritual nature – everything begins to shift. Not because we’ve convinced ourselves to believe something, but because we’ve remembered what we already know.
The practice is simple: Notice where you’re placing your trust throughout the day.
Are you trusting in your worries, believing they’re true?
Are you trusting in your ability to control outcomes?
Are you trusting in other people’s egos to determine your worth?
Are you willing to place your trust in the Love that created you, the Wisdom that guides you, and the Peace that is your natural inheritance?
That’s where real faith lives – not in our head, but in our willingness to trust what our heart already knows is true. The truth is there underneath all of our stories, worries, and misperceptions. All we have to do is be willing to seek the kingdom where it can be found – in our loving heart.
Seek the kingdom first, and all else is added unto us.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE:my topic is Rising Above the Battlefield When Everything Falls Apart. In this episode, I shared insights from a powerful dream where I was teaching in a cave and promised to help anyone who feels like they’re falling back in their spiritual consciousness. Drawing from A Course in Miracles Chapter 26, I addressed how we’re living in intense times where people are relapsing into addiction, fear, and separation, but emphasized that this is actually pushing humanity toward a crucial choice point between going deeper into separation or rising above the battlefield. I explained that our plans for safety and happiness cannot be made in the future but must be claimed now, and reminded listeners that we are the dreamers of our dreams, not victims – calling on spiritual students to take responsibility for changing their minds as the key to healing our world.
