We can have a spiritual practice that lasts all day and is extremely practical as well as effective. That’s what I’m all about. I’ve tried having a spiritual practice that is for a set amount of time, and I’ve found it’s not my way. I have a practice that carries me from moment to moment and it’s made all the difference in my life.

It’s so helpful to focus on seeing things correctly.

The way to recognize that you’re not seeing things correctly is to notice when you’re upset. When we’re upset, it’s a healing opportunity. The upset is our divine alarm clock to let us know that we’ve got a skewed view. The skew of the view is why were upset, it’s never for the reason we think.

When our view is needs adjusting we can claim our healing opportunity gratefully and then allow the healing and move on with grace and gratitude. Now, that’s an option I like!

What I don’t like is feeling like it’s my job to be the police of the world.

When I first started to share more about A Course in Miracles around the world, I felt a number of people coming at me with their attacks. They wanted to prove I didn’t know what I was talking about. They wanted to be right. They wanted to make me wrong to prove they were right.

I was surprised at how many attacking and unloving comments I received. I realized that not everyone who studies ACIM aspires to really live the teachings and to be at Peace. And yet, the study of the Course will bring Peace ultimately. Our willingness is ALL that’s required.

At first, when people were attacking me, I thought it was pretty crazy, and it was.

My purpose was to facilitate a healing and ACIM tells us that prayer is the medium of miracles. I prayed for those who were feeling compelled to attack. I feel my prayers were answered because situations were transformed. To change the world, we work at the level of the mind that’s in our heart.

If we’re upset, there’s another way to see the world and we can find it. To see the better way, we must be willing to see beyond our projections. This is a skill we can cultivate. It brings great relief. We can remember to laugh. This is what I’m training myself to do and showing others how to do.

A change of view is an inside job and it’s a great job to have!

Latest  ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: my topic is You ARE the Treasure: Why God Values You Above Everything Else. Exploring “The Treasure of God” from A Course in Miracles Chapter 8, I share the profound revelation that WE are God’s only treasure – not money or worldly things, but us. Through Jesus’s retelling of the prodigal son story and my reflection on how movies like The Matrix, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings all feature “savior of the world” themes, I realized we’re all meant to be saviors through joining with the Holy Spirit and seeing Christ in everyone. The key to moving from confusion to clarity is accepting that EVERYONE is equally valuable to God – from the worst person imaginable to Mother Teresa – and understanding that God’s will is our will, there’s no separation. Our function is to create and extend love in whatever form that takes, whether cooking a meal or teaching a class, and when we accept our true value as God’s treasure, we can finally live in the peace and freedom that is our birthright!
