Yesterday was an auspicious day for Americans who have an interest in civil rights. I was raised by civil rights activists and it’s always been an interest and passion of mine. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi are two of my honored teachers.
I’m not a particularly political person, but i do care very much about honoring the dignity of every person because I’m one with each one.
It can be challenging to honor everyone all the time. And it’s the kind of challenge that lifts me up! I’m willing to stay in my heart and be loving even when it’s challenging!
I’m grateful that same sex couples are able to get married and enjoy equal civil rights. As a minister, I look forward to performing their weddings!
