I want to share with you about something that might revolutionize how you see your calling as a healer: You don’t need to qualify yourself for God’s work. God qualifies you.

For years, I felt unqualified to serve as a minister, teacher, and spiritual counselor. I kept thinking I needed more training, more credentials, more experience.

I believed I needed to be “better” somehow before I could really help people.

But here’s what I learned: The feeling of being unqualified wasn’t coming from a lack of external credentials. It was coming from internal conflict – from saying I wanted to heal others while still holding onto my own wounds, judgments, and attack thoughts.

A Course in Miracles teaches that all characteristics of God’s teachers rest on trust.

Once we truly trust in Spirit rather than in our own opinions and ego plans, all of the expansion into good naturally follows.

We don’t become qualified by accumulating degrees or certifications.
We become qualified by aligning our will with Love.

I used to believe I wasn’t “good enough” to be a spiritual teacher because I still got angry sometimes, still felt hurt, still made mistakes. I thought spiritual leaders had to be perfect. But perfection isn’t about never having human experiences – it’s about being consistently willing to choose love over fear, forgiveness over grievance, trust over control.

The ACIM Manual for Teachers talks about honesty as one of the key characteristics of spiritual teachers. But this honesty isn’t about being perfect – it’s about being consistent. It means there’s nothing we say that contradicts what we think or do. We’re not in internal conflict anymore.

When I stopped fighting with myself – when I stopped judging my own humanity while trying to help others with theirs – everything shifted.

My confidence soared. My effectiveness multiplied. My joy became contagious.

Here’s the beautiful truth: You were called to be a healer not despite your wounds, but because of them.

Your struggles have given you compassion.
Your healing journey has given you wisdom.
Your willingness to grow has given you credibility.

You don’t need to wait until you’re “healed enough” or “spiritual enough” or “qualified enough.”

You just need to be willing enough.
Willing to trust love more than fear.
Willing to see others’ fundamental goodness.
Willing to let go of what blocks the flow of grace through you.

People don’t need perfect healers.
They need authentic ones.

Humanity needs people who’ve walked the path from darkness to light and can hold a candle for others making the same journey.

God has already qualified you by calling you.

The only question is: Will you answer?

Your time is now.
Your gifts are needed.

Your healing presence is exactly what someone is praying for today.Step forward with confidence, beloved. You are enough, you have enough, you know enough to begin.

NEW ACIM PODCAST EPISODE: my topic is You’re Not Evil – You’re Just Playing Small (And Here’s How to Stop) In this episode, I shared how I used to feel fundamentally limited and evil, believing there was some immovable block preventing my spiritual growth, when the truth was I was simply playing small and denying my divine inheritance. Working with A Course in Miracles Lesson 166 (“I am entrusted with the gifts of God”), I discovered that God’s trust in us is limitless even when our trust in God is minimal, and that we must unite our will with God’s will to receive and recognize the pre-installed gifts that are already ours. I emphasized that we’re not victims but dreamers of the dream, and that taking responsibility for our creative power – rather than hiding from it – transforms us from tragic wanderers into servants in our Father’s house who hold the high watch for all humanity.
